Our latest PEB building project completed: check the details on N.S. Power’s industrial shed
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality pre-engineered steel buildings (PEBs) that meet exact needs of our clients, no matter where the site is located. Our recent project for M/s. N.S. Power in Dumka, Jharkhand, showcases this commitment.
While under execution, this particular project had posed a unique set of challenges to us owing to its remote location, but through close collaboration and meticulous planning, we were able to deliver a successful outcome. Here, we would like to share some of the highlights of this industrial PEB building project.
1. Delivering a robust structure
The completed PEB boasts of impressive technical specifications. The building measures 126 feet wide x 194 feet long, with a clear height of 43 feet at the sidewalls. There is no intermediate column inside the shed and it has a clear span of 126 feet width. This enables the Customer to have ample space for the company’s industrial operations. The structure is designed to accommodate a 20 MT capacity E.O.T. crane, which will be used for efficient handling of heavy equipment within the facility.
2. Challenges faced during the project
Dumka, Jharkhand, is a remote location far from major towns and industrial hubs. This remoteness posed a significant challenge of finding a reliable power supply. Uninterrupted supply of high voltage power is extremely important for operating some of our critical equipment required at the time of erection of fabricated structural members. The scarcity of power caused unexpected delays in the project timeline. However, through collaboration and innovative thinking, we were able to overcome this hurdle and get the project back on track.
3. Meeting client needs related to aesthetics and functionality
The Customer had specific demands. They desired a particular colour scheme and a unique cladding pattern for their shed. Aesthetics being an important feature of any PEB, we could realize the importance of this demand by the Customer. We were able to procure the exact colour of sheeting they envisioned. Our Team meticulously translated their desired cladding pattern into detailed fabrication plans. This ensured that the final product matched their vision perfectly.
4. The streamlined process we followed
Our commitment to excellence extends throughout the entire construction process. For the project of M/s. N.S. Power, we followed a well-defined approach:
- Initial Engagement: The project began with just an enquiry from the client, followed by a series of communication over the phone as well as through official email.
- Quotation: Once we agreed on the technical specifications and deliverables, design estimation and a subsequent detailed techno-commercial proposal followed.
- Collaboration and Approval: We negotiated the proposal we submitted and received their final mandate. Following this, our Design Team conducted detailed engineering calculations and prepared General Arrangement Drawings for approval by the Customer. Once approved, we moved on to creating fabrication drawings and a detailed bill of materials.
- Procurement and Fabrication: With all the necessary details in place, we procured the raw materials and initiated fabrication of the PEB components.
- Quality Control and Delivery: Stringent quality control measures were implemented throughout the fabrication process. Following successful completion and painting of the PEB components, we ensured timely dispatch to the site.
- Site Execution and Handover: Our Project Team oversaw the erection of the PEB components and fixing of the sheeting and other accessories at the site. Following thorough inspections by the Customer to address any minor concerns, we officially handed over the completed project. The issuance of a Completion Certificate marked the culmination of this complex process and the successful conclusion of this project to the utmost satisfaction of the Customer.
